In the West, negative emotions are often regarded as weaknesses, character flaws, or even sins. Maybe you also see it this way?

We consider ourselves to be civilised adults, so we reject these emotions — we hide them, deny, or suppress their existence. We think that this way we train ourselves not to feel these disturbing energies.

But this suppression leads to a dead end and causes many negative consequences for our emotional and physical health😩

Suppressed negative emotions and stress don’t just go away. They keep building up; they embed in our internal organs, in our muscles, and in the psyche. Oftentimes, negativity breaks out in a sudden burst of anger, uncontrollable crying, depression, worry or even a panic attack😱

Stress sabotages our lives, creates neuroses, addictions, and physical diseases. Statistics speak for themselves. For example, American National Institute of Mental Health claims that every year 1 in 4 people suffers from a diagnosable mental disorder.
Considering the current world situation ― economic instability, wars ― the actual number of people with emotional disorders and chronic stress is very likely to be even greater😑
